無事に戻りました☆ We are back safely☆

もう10日間ほど前になりますが、無事アメリカに戻りました。
About 10 days ago we arrived back in America safely.

日本にはあまり周りに知らせる時間もなく、突然行った感じだったのと、
実質10日間の滞在だったのであまりたくさんの人と会えなかったのが
残念ですが、それでも本当に楽しかった！
We didn't have time to let people know that we were coming to Japan before
we left the US and it was only a 10-day stay, so we couldn't see
many people we wanted to see, but we had a wonderful time!

この滞在で強く思ったこと。
There was one thought that came to me strongly:

私たちが神様に置かれている場所は、今は日本ではなく、アメリカだということ。
The United States is where God has put us right now, not Japan.

日本には大切な家族や友人、そして大好きなチャーチファミリーが居て、
ご飯もどこに行っても美味しくて、接客サービスがとっても丁寧で、
四季があって、と大好きなところたくさん。
In Japan, there are so many things I love.
There are my precious family and friends, a loving church family,
the food is delicious everywhere, customer service is so polite,
there are four seasons.

でも、今私たちはアメリカに居る。今ここに居るのは御心なんだって
日本に行くことによって更にクリアになって、ここに居ることが心から嬉しい。
However, we are in the States now. It became even clearer to us that
it is God's will that we are now here by going to Japan.
We are so happy to be here.

Well, I'll update with some pictures another time little by little♪

日本に行きます！ We will visit Japan!

突然ですが、今週日本に行きます！
It's so sudden, but we are going to Japan this week!

と言ってもすごく短期間（約2週間）なので、
あっと言う間に時間が過ぎそうですが。。。
Sadly it's only for a short time (about two weeks),
so I know the time will fly by so quickly...

家族や友達に会えること、美味しいご飯を食べること、
日本の自然を見れること、お買い物すること、もう全てが
楽しみです！
We're going to see my family and friends, enjoy great food,
see the beautiful countryside of Japan and shop. I look forward to
everything!

では、アメリカに戻ったらまたブログ更新します♪
So, I will update this blog again when we come back to the States♪

近況報告 Our Updates

4月と5月は慌しく過ぎました。
April and May went so quickly.

義母のこと以外でもめまぐるしく色々なことが起きた2ヶ月でした。
It was such a busy two months. Many things happened
other than my mother-in-law's passing.

まず、夫が神学校に通うことになりました！
これは日本に居た時から話していたことだったんです。
神様が扉を開いて下さいました！
First, my husband is going to seminary!
We have been talking about this since we were in Japan.
God opened the door for us!

経済的には絶対無理な話だったんです。
（絶対無理って、これは私たちの頭で考えた場合です。（笑））
It seemed impossible for him to go to school financially.
(It was impossible when we thought about it. :))

でも神様のご計画は違いました。サポートしれくれる団体が1つあり、
奨学金も授業料の3分の1おりることに！
However, God's plan was different. There is a organization
that is supporting part of the tuition and also
he was able to receive a 1/3 scholarship!

現在でも授業料を全てまかなうのは私たちの
収入だときついのですが、神様が与えて下さったこの道、
神様が必要を与えて下さると信じています。
Even now, it's hard to support the rest of the tuition with our income,
but we know God will meet our needs because He is the one
who gave us this path.

そして2つ目はミルクのこと。
ミルクが初めてのてんかんになってしまいました。
Second, Milk had a seizure for the first time.

その日は日本から友人ファミリーがオーランドに到着した初日の夜中。
友人ファミリーを家に残し、私たちはミルクを連れて動物の救急病院へ向かいました。
テストの結果、おそらく脳に何か原因があるのではないかとのこと。
It was the first night that my friend's family arrived in Orlando.
We left them at home and took Milk to the animal emergency hospital.
After the test, the veterinarians think that the problem could be in her brain.

でもそれから約2ヶ月経つのですが、一度もてんかんが発病して
いないんです！（私たちが居ないところでなっている可能性もありますが。。。）
神様ありがとう！
However, as far as we know, it hasn't happened again.
It has been almost two months now! (It's possible she could have had one
when we were not around her...) We thank God she is doing OK.

そして3つ目は友人ファミリーが日本から遊びに来てくれたこと。
Third, as I mentioned, my friend's family came to visit from Japan.

そして4つ目。フルタイムで就職しました！渡米後初のフルタイムのお仕事です！
And fourth, I got a full time job!
This is the first full time job I have had since we moved to the States!

日本での経験を生かした内容で、毎日がとても充実しています。
This job allows me to use my work experience from Japan.
It's enriching every day.

何せ日本を経って2年半、月～金でお仕事をする生活から離れていたので、
ちょっと体内時計を戻すのが大変でしたが、お仕事を始めて約2ヶ月、
だいぶ慣れて来ました。
I left Japan about two and a half years ago, and since then I had been away
from the life of working Monday to Friday, so it took me a while
to adjust to the time. It's been about two months since I started working and
I'm getting used to it.

夫の授業が8月に始まります。こんなにパーフェクトなタイミングで
お仕事をいただけるとは思っていませんでした。
My husband's school will start in August, and this job will really help us.
I didn't expect to get a job in this timing at all, but God provided it.

天国へ To Heaven

先月の13日、義母が天国へ旅立ちました。
On the 13th of last month, Mom (my mother-in-law) went to heaven.

彼女は膵臓ガンと1年以上も戦い、最後は家でホスピスケアを
受けていました。
She fought pancreatic cancer for over a year and had hospice care
at home at the end of her life.

ここ1年の間、化学療法でガンを縮小し、ガン切除の手術をすることを目標に、
副作用に苦しみながら頑張って治療を続けていました。何度も入退院を
繰り返しました。4月には集中治療室での治療さえも乗り越えた、強い母でした。
This past year, she was fighting with a hope to have cancer removal surgery
after taking chemotherapy to shrink the cancer.
She continued the chemo even though she had a lot of side effects.
She went in and out of the hospital many times. She even overcame
ICU in April. She was strong.

義母は自分が苦しい時も、常に周りのことを気遣う優しい人でした。
She was such a sweet person. She thought about others even
when she was suffering.

何度彼女の癒しを祈ったかわかりません。
何度神様の奇蹟を祈ったかわかりません。
でも何より、彼女の救いを祈っていました。
みんなでたくさんの種を彼女の心に蒔きました。
I don't remember how many times we prayed for her to be healed.
I don't remember how many times God did miracles.
However, we prayed the most for her salvation.
A lot of people around her sowed seeds in her life.

そして、祈りが聞かれました！彼女は今天国にイエス様と一緒に居ます。
今は痛みや涙から解放されて、神様を心から賛美していると思います！
Finally, the prayer was answered! Now she is in heaven with Jesus.
She is now free from pain and tears and I think she is worshipping
God from her heart!

正直言うと、この地上でもっと義母と一緒に過ごしたかったです。
彼女に今会えないのは寂しいです。
To tell the truth, I wanted to spend more time with her on the earth.
I miss her so much.

でも、また会える希望があります。
笑顔で溢れている義母にいつかまた会えるのが楽しみです！
However, I have a hope to see her again.
I look forward to seeing her with smiles sometime again!

イエス様ありがとう。心から感謝します！
Thank you so much, Jesus. I thank you from my heart!

Space Shuttle

何度も延期になったスペース・シャトル、ディズカバリーの
打ち上げが昨日遂に行われました。
The Space Shuttle Discovery was finally launched yesterday
after being delayed a couple of times.

花粉症の私は長い間外に居たくなかったので、
近くに見に行かず、夫の実家から見ることにしました。
I didn't want to stay outside for a long time because
I'm allergic to pollen, so we decided to watch the launch
from Chris's parents house instead trying to get closer.

夕焼けで雲が光ってキレイ。
The contrail was beautiful in the sunset.

I found the video for this launch on You Tube.

まだまだ未知の宇宙。そんな宇宙や地球を創られた神様が
私たち人間も創り、私たちを愛し、私たちのためにイエス様を
地上に送って下さった。
Space is full of the unknown. God, who created all of this space
and everything in it, including the earth, made us and loves us and
sent Jesus to the earth for us.

本当にすごい。神様ってすごい。
It's just wonderful. God is wonderful.

神様が地球を創られた時のことが聖書には書いてある。
そしてそれは聖書の一番最初のことば。
The Bible tells us about the time when God created the earth.
It is at the beginning of the first book in the Bible.

初めに、神が天と地を創造した。
In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
