ディズニーの話が続きます☆
Talking about Disney again☆

またまた無料のうちに、今度はクリスと2人でハリウッド・スタジオへ。
Again while it was free, I went to Disney's Hollywood Studios with Chris.


行く時に通る高速から、ミッキーの形のした電柱が見えます。
You can see a pole that is shaped like Mickey as you drive along the highway.




時期的に空いていると思っていたのですが、結構混んでいてびっくり。
We thought it wouldn't be so crowded but we were surprised by
how many people were there.




この奥にある「タワー・オブ・テラー」がもう怖いのなんのって。
上下に下がるアトラクションが苦手だってことが分かりました。（笑）
The "Tower of Terror" was the scariest thing. I found out that
I don't like attractions that go up and down. :D




「美女と野獣」のショー。短かったけど、楽しめました。
The "Beauty and the Beast" show. It was short, but we had fun.




予想とは違ったけれど、「インディ・ジョーンズ」のスタント・ショーも面白かったです。
It was different than I expected but the "Indiana Jones" stunt show
was fun, too.




「スター・ツアーズ」の外観にびっくり！
I was surprised by the look of "Star Tours"!




そしてこのカーミットのビルが可愛かった☆
And this Kermit building was cute☆




夜のショー、「ファンタズミック！」はあまりにも遠いのと暗いのとで
良く撮れませんでした。
I couldn't take good pictures of "Fantasmic!", the night show
because it was too far away and too dark.




遠くに見えたミッキー。ボケボケです。
We could see Mickey far away. It's so blurry.





初めてだったので、イマイチ分からず行けなかったアトラクションがいくつか。
もう一度行きたいな。
There were some attractions that we couldn't get to because
we didn't really know which ones were best since it was our first time.
I would like to go there again.

1月にアメリカでは選挙が行われました。私たちが住んでいる場所での
投票場所は消防署でした。
There was an election in January in the States. The place to vote
in our county was at a fire station.





投票は消防署のガレージ内だったのですが、クリスは少し手続きがあったため、
消防署内に設置されている臨時の手続きの場所へ。そこにあったパッチの壁に
私の目は釘付けに！聞いたところ、世界のあらゆる消防署から集めているそうです。
The voting was right inside the garage, but Chris had to do some
extra paperwork so we went inside a temporary office there.
There was a wall filled by patches inside and I couldn't take my eyes off it!
Some firefighter told me that they collect patches from all over the world.




そんな話から、消防隊員の方たちと消防車の前で写真を撮ることに！
わざわざ外に出てきて撮ってくれました。きっとそういうリクエストが
多いんですね。（笑）
From the conversation, we decided to take some pictures
in front of the firetruck! All of the firefighters were inside, but
they came outside to take pictures. I think they get this kind of
request a lot. :D




私も小さいけれど、みんな大きい。
I am small, but they are so big.




消防隊員はとっても私が尊敬する職種の一つです。人の命を助けるために
自分が火の中に飛び込むことがある。私たちの命のために十字架にかかってくださった
イエス様を思います。
Firefighter is one of the jobs I really respect a lot. They might have to
jump into the fire to save people's lives. It makes me think of
Jesus who went to the cross to save us.





神は、実に、そのひとり子をお与えになったほどに、世を愛された。
それは御子を信じる者が、ひとりとして滅びることなく、永遠のいのちを持つためである。
（ヨハネ 3:16）
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16)



ちなみに、私は市民ではなく移民としてこの国にいるため、投票権が
ありません。（泣）投票権を得るには市民になる必要があるのですが
（まだ移民歴が短いため、まだ市民になる資格はありません。）、
そうなると日本の国籍を失うことになってしまいます。
By the way, because I am an immigrant and not a citizen,
I don't have the right to vote. :( For me to be able to vote,
I have to become a citizen (but I can't because I haven't lived here
long enough as an immigrant to get the right to become a citizen.)
Unfortunately to do it, you have to lose your Japanese nationality.

今はまだ市民になる資格がないため、選択に関して深く考えては
いませんが、その時になったら相当迷う気がします。
I don't have to think about it a lot right now since I don't have
the right to become a citizen yet, but I think I will struggle a lot
when the time comes when I can choose.

今年の3月まで住んでいた場所なのですが、
とても気に入った場所だったので、写真を撮っていました。
This is the place where we used to live until March of this year.
I took some pictures because we liked this place a lot.

ここはクリスの前職に近くのアパートを探していて見つけたのですが、
絶妙のタイミングで神様が与えて下さった場所でした。
We found this place as we were looking for one near
Chris's former job. God gave us this place with great timing.

もう住んでいないので、載せたいと思います。（笑）
Since we don't live there anymore, I would like to post about it. :D


リビング。ブラインドを開けて写真撮れば良かったな。

私はベッドルームから見る景色が大好きでした。
窓が一枚窓だともっとキレイに見えるのだけれど。。。
網戸が外側についているため、線が入った写真になってます。
I loved the scenery from our bedroom.
You could see better if the window didn't have a divider in the middle...
The screen on the window is affecting the focus of the camera.




夜になるとこんな感じ。噴水がライトアップされてキレイなんです。
It looks like this at night. The fountain is lit up and beautiful.




リビングからキッチンを見たところ。
Looking at the kitchen from the living room.




そして玄関を出て左を見ると、林が見えます。
クリスは朝日が当たっているこの林を見るのがとっても好きだったそう。
Then if you look to the left as you go out of the front door,
you can see trees. Chris really liked to see the trees
with the light from the sunrise shining on them.





下に置いてある箱は、ゴミ収集箱なんです。ゴミを入れる時間が決まっているのですが、
その時間を見計らってゴミを目当てに来る動物が。（携帯のカメラなので画像が悪い。。。）
The boxes on the ground are for garbage.
You can only put the garbage out at a certain time on certain days,
but some animals come at this time and try to get something.
(These are taken with my mobile phone camera,
so the quality of the pictures is not good...)





うっかり箱に鍵を掛け忘れると、たちまちゴミをあさられてしまいます。
If you forget to lock the box, they get the garbage immediately.

アライグマは見かけは可愛いけれど、狂犬病を持っている可能性があるので、
近づかないようにしています。
Racoons look cute, but they might carry rabies, so I try not to get
close to them.

この後少しだけ近づいたら、諦めて逃げて行きました。
After taking the pictures, I got a little bit closer to him, he gave up and
ran away.


アライグマの他にもポッサムを一度見かけました。
I saw a possum once, too.
